Siedlung Schillerpark

The housing estates from the 1920s represent modern mass housing construction, the building of social housing and sobriety and functionality. Architects such as Bruno Taut have proved that these housing estates can also stand for light, fresh air, intense colours and wide open spaces. They were once built in order to illustrate the principles of the democratic constitution which guaranteed every German citizen a home fit for human habitation.
